So what's Galaxy Ace?

Galaxy Ace is the working title of our arcade shoot-em up, a fun blaster packaged in a Pulp Action Adventure... if you cant quite picture that, stay tuned and it will start to unveil itself very soon.

Right now, we're in our R&D phase, there's an overal goal and we're currently working out why and how we're going to get there. In normal game Dev you need to really knuckle down in this very early stage and get everything as solid as possible to create clear goals for the team. This is normally done by using Core Pillars or a similar system to help explain and keep the team on track.

However, because this is being done in our own time, and we're doing it for fun, we're being a bit more flexible than that.

We're going to base a lot of stuff on self imposed deadlines, on the kind of things we want to do, on what we can do in our free time without killing ourselves, and what we want to experiment with. Doing this for fun allows us to be a bit more experimental and the pressure is on to be creative and to be hungry to do something that we love and will be proud of.

So, I present to you, Dear Reader.... our first screenshots

A fighter plane... in Space!!??

And are those fx that I see right there?

With some sort of lock on system....
So something big is about to happen, but in true Matinee style... that... will have to wait until next week

So here are the very bare bones of what we have right now, or at least all I'm willing to show. To give you a sneak peek of what we are currently working on, it includes something a little like this....

Stay tuned for Adventure!

Prelude to BLAST OFF!

Testing... Testing.... 1... 2... 3...

So, what's "Galaxy Ace"? Its a working title for a little side project, with a big emphasis on creative fun.

So we have the Pezzalucifer, PURE AMBIENCE and myself, Fiendenstein on board.... we just need one more, final ingredient, but work has already started.

And I really should update this blog with a fitting look too....
